  人們沒看到又怎麼樣？照樣不影響我們擁有完美無缺的生命過程。當我思路閉塞時，她會散發滿屋馨香，令我遐思無限，靈感連綿。當我困頓偷懶時，她會在一旁輕輕喊：別睡覺，快起來！你還有一篇文章沒有寫，你今天的事情還沒做完呢！
   我常常想，為什麼我們會對一株米蘭情有獨鍾，為什麼一株米蘭會對我們戀戀不捨？是我們找到了人生的知音和花顏，還是米蘭對我們兩個“伯樂”“慧”眼識珠以報恩？

我家米蘭10歲了。
呵呵，我家米蘭不是人，依然是花。但在我家卻和人一樣，因為她陪伴我們10年了，和我兒子一樣大。
記得我和妻子買她時，她還很弱小。在奼紫嫣紅的花圃中，她並不出眾，掩映在名花貴木的枝葉下，羞答答的像個灰姑娘。可是她的葉子很特別，細細的、碎碎的兩頭略尖的長橢圓形小葉片，密密匝匝，青翠油亮，碧綠欲滴，我倆同時相中了她。一問才知是米蘭。米蘭我常聽說，但從沒和實物照過面。只知道米蘭花如米粒，不事招搖，可開花卻極其清香，正是我們喜歡的花卉。於是我們毫不猶豫地把她抱回了家。
經過我們的精心照料，米蘭果然不負“眾”望，開出了燦爛的金黃色花朵，花朵比粟米略大，一簇簇一串串，閃著金子般的光澤，味如蘭花，清香四溢。既樸素雅緻，又亮麗高貴。我們特別喜歡，朋友和客人也贊不絕口。我家養花很多，比她名貴的花木也不少，碩花彤果，青枝碧葉，紫蔓藍芽，可一個個在她面前都黯然失色，讓她一個平凡之輩拔了頭籌。呵呵，有些道理是說不清楚的，你以為你是國色天香的牡丹，可別人偏偏嫌你俗氣，你以為你是價值連城的名蘭，可別人偏偏說你和韭菜沒什麼兩樣。情人眼裡出西施，喜歡沒有理由可講。喜歡的就是最好的！

我的作文常被老師拿來當範文講解，為此我很自豪，那就是我最愛上作文課的原因。沒有一個人在受到表揚時候是不激動的，我也不例外。因為激動我的臉蛋紅通通的，使原本並不漂亮的我看起來特別可愛。為了得到一本好書我甚至於偷偷拿家裡好吃的東西跟人換書看;我還去磚窯幫人搬磚頭賺一點點錢去租書看。說起來不怕你笑話，那時候的我最大的心願就是長大當個圖書管理員。
十四歲我的處女作《小白楊》在《星星詩刊》上發表了。我以為能在學校廣播室做主持的我以後一定能當個美女作家，絕對不會像同桌玲他爸爸那樣進工廠當工人。現在想想真是幼稚得很。

這時候的我喜歡文字絕對不是為了“散心消遣”，倒是要集中心智，不是要用虛假來麻痺自己，使我對無意義的人生視而不見，而是正好相反，要幫助我將自己的人生變得越來越高尚，越來越有意義。沉浸其中那些在曲曲折折的句子，那些幾乎察覺不與別人都迥然不同的人物面前。再讀你就會和作者融為一體，感覺他們就是你多年的老朋友。他們在給予自己或者試圖給予自己，某種更為明確的東西。
夜越來越靜，我坐在電腦前，那一行行或熟悉或陌生的文字像水波漣漪似地在心裡展開，以至延伸到遙遠的含義，於是開始了理性地思索。此刻，所有的嘈雜紛爭、抑鬱忿怨，甚至心比天高的慾望，全部悄然退去了，寧靜、富足，甚至幸福感便從心中盈盈升起。
